![]() Apex and Adversary decided to team up once again, covertly sending a series of aircraft to the area in the hopes of possibly glimpsing the organism. It wasn't until a detailed look at all the spots the creature had plundered showed a consistent flight path, and based on projected pathways the organism could go in, it's next descent would be over Eastern China. ![]() This same pattern repeated several more times, admittedly frustrating many Apex and Adversary personnel involved, stuck on a wild goose chase with their quarry always one step ahead of them. After a few days, another anomaly was detected over Eastern Siberia (though this time, Adversary was the one doing the chasing), leaving behind the same signs but with no daikaiju present. However, the resulting massive pit they found upon arriving at the anomaly and there being no sign of the two prime suspects in a short vicinity, it seemed more likely that the culprit was the creature behind the odd reports of massive tentacles descending from the sky. The first was detected over Western Alaska and was initially thought to have possibly been the surfacing of Namazu and Hokk. Because of a lack of high-atmosphere aircraft and having been crippled by the failed Antarctic expedition, Apex didn't have the time or resources to find this beast, and even after receiving a great amount of funding after the Beiru expedition, the identity of this mysterious entity would remain unsolved for another three years.Īfter setting up their preliminary kaiju detection system, Apex and Adversary would receive the occasional kaiju anomaly from the Northern Hemisphere between 19. ![]() These accounts were taken from remote areas from across the world and may have started as far back as the mid-1940s. A few of these incidents included massive clawed tentacles descending from the sky and tearing into the ground, leaving only massive pits found to contain high sources of radioactive elements. Shortly after the official discovery of such flying behemoths (Namazu and Hokk's appearance in 1952), Apex and Adversary hypothesized the existence of such beasts from ancient mythology and incidents that could have only occurred by flying kaiju/daikaiju. Had it not been for advancements in aerial technology, it would not have been known that it was the arriving celestial body Gorath that awakened Maguma and Todora from their icy slumbers, and more recently, there a great surge in interest of this high-atmosphere aircraft on Apex's part in regards to volant daikaiju. This focus on the high atmosphere and space has had surprising consequences for the kaiju organizations Apex and Adversary. This resulted in the creation of planes and other aircraft that could fly higher and farther than any other before and eventually lead to the creation of the first true spacecraft with the Soviet satellite Sputnik 1 being launched on October 4, 1957. History: There was a race to create better and more powerful aerial vessels as the rival superpowers of the United States and Soviet Union tried to one-up each other in case a nuclear conflict was to spawn from their disdain for each other. Scientific Name: Gigantoaeros okami (Okami's Air Giant) ![]()
